We address interlinked barriers to sustainable development: youth unemployment, climate change,
food insecurity and poor nutrition. Footprint to Climate responds by increasing people’s access to
climate-smart food and baking training, jobs, and other income opportunities.
Footprint to Climate:
The goal is to reduce unemployment, strengthen food security and create income opportunities for survivors and vulnerable communities while
building community resilience to climate change. Our primary project activities:
- Sustainable baking classes
- Selling healthful bread to schools and the surrounding communities
- Training teachers and the community about cooking nutritious food
- Online cooking lessons/shows on our media channel
As a next step, we aim to support communities in developing solar-powered cooking devices.
