Footprint to Climate:

Sustainable Cooking

We address interlinked barriers to sustainable development: youth unemployment, climate change,
food insecurity and poor nutrition. Footprint to Climate responds by increasing people’s access to
climate-smart food and baking training, jobs, and other income opportunities.

The goal is to reduce unemployment, strengthen food security and create income opportunities for survivors and vulnerable communities while
building community resilience to climate change. Our primary project activities:

  • Sustainable baking classes
  • Selling healthful bread to schools and the surrounding communities
  • Training teachers and the community about cooking nutritious food
  • Online cooking lessons/shows on our media channel

As a next step, we aim to support communities in developing solar-powered cooking devices.
